Title: Rock Zombie

Price: $6.99
Release date: 10/30/2014
The main game/story
This is an old-fashioned beat em up, similar to games like Final Fight and Double Dragon. The story in this game revolves around a female rock band who notices that their world is being taken over by a group of zombies, as they set off to find the cause of this strange outbreak.
Graphics
The character models look fine, and the cutscenes are presented in a nice comic book format, but overall it just looks too dark in some places, with some textures being a bit hard to see in some stages. But besides that minor issue they look fine.
Music and sound effects:
Since the name of the game is Rock Zombie… There are a lot of rock songs in the game. Nothing major here, but it certainly fits the mood.
Gameplay
Being based off of a classic beat em up, it plays like you would expect. Move around, and beat up enemies. The repetitive nature of the genre sadly makes most games that end up as a part of it feel similar to each other. Rock Zombie thankfully changes this up a bit by adding some neat bonus stages, and having combos included along with a lot of unlockables, so there is a lot of content for fans of the genre. The combat and controls are satisfying, so they do work and I did think it was a decent game. The lack of co-op really hurts this game, however, as most arcade beat em ups had some form of co-op so that one person could join you.
Conclusion
In the end, Rock Zombie is a game that plays well, and has a lot to do. …And that’s pretty much it. If you like the themes this game has to offer, and you want a nice beat em up game to play (Even with the lack of co-op), then Rock Zombie is for you! Just don’t expect it to be anything more than that. I give Rock Zombie a 6 out of 10
